Michelle Yamamoto is a full time artist living in Hood River, Oregon where her art is exhibited at both the Columbia Centre for the Arts and the elegant and lively, Dragon Fire Art Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon. In addition to International wine festivals and International Yoga conferences in Canada, her reproductions and originals are featured in 12 hotels, retail venues and restaurants in Canada, United States and Mexico and in the past 5 years, she has exhibited in 10 solo and/or group exhibitions in North America and Asia. Her acrylic paintings infuse emotion of the heart and reveal the essence of her extensive studies of the ancient teachings of Zen Buddhism and Taoism. This new creativity expressed in her nude self portraits, Buddha and Surf art themes have attracted a wide media and audience appeal with collectors from around the world. A new inner metamorphosis is revealed allowing one to sense harmony and reflect on life and whose creativity continues to evolve from the gifts of the meditations of daily life where her own life experiences living and traveling throughout Asia for 15 years are always echoed and reflected upon. She has also been commissioned for 25 cover designs for Pique Newsmagazine, Canada.
